ICTs and Disability Issues.
"ICTs can open new vistas for disabled people and make a different world ".
The use of (ICTs) in the field of the disabled is a priority on the political agendas of governments. a lot of efforts are required at national, regional and global levels to meet the need of persons with disabilities by using appropriate educational, administrative and legislative measures.
The ICTs play potential role in developing and empowering the educational sectors, as well as rehabilitation and capacity building. ICTs are keen on improving the quality of life by enhancing teaching, skills, learning in special needs education and exploring the related issues and show showing ICTs enriches the learning opportunities and potential of the disabled, especially: (Physical, Blind and Visual Impairments, Hearing Impairments, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Down syndrome and Learning Disabilities).
I think telecentre.org in collaboration with international organizations can attain the goal by offering the ability to disabled people to access knowledge by adapting digital revolution to the nature of their disabilities, and to enhance their social and economic integration in community.
The ( Information Society for All) target can be achieved through building and supporting a lot of telecentres in different areas all over the world especially, in poor and developing countries.
What role do the ICTs play in providing the best education for disabled people?
ICTs enables disabled people to access the curriculum by supporting learning for disabled trainers and promoting their skills. In this concern we explore practical examples of using ICTs to assist disabled people by identifying the most appropriate technologies for their needs, understanding of ICTs and an awareness of the needs of learners with different disabilities. ICTs can help particular learners to identify key areas in the educational process.
